Lucy is a small cat. She lives in a little house. The house is next to a hill.
One day, Lucy walks outside. She sees something round. It is red. It sits in the grass.
Lucy says, "Ooh, what's this?"
"It is a ball!" she says. Lucy looks at the ball. She touches it with her paw.
The ball moves. It rolls away. Lucy runs after it.
"Come back, ball!" she says. She jumps and pats it with her paw again.
The ball rolls down the hill. Lucy runs fast. Her legs move quickly. She likes this game.
The ball stops near a bush. Lucy walks closer. She sees something small under the bush. It is brown. It has long ears.
Lucy says, "Ooh, what's this?"
"It is a rabbit!" she says. The rabbit looks at Lucy. Lucy sits down. She does not move.
The rabbit is not scared. It hops a little closer. Then it hops away, into the grass.
"Bye, rabbit," Lucy says.
Lucy looks for her ball again. She sees it. It is next to a tree. She picks it up with her paws.
She looks up. She sees something high in the tree. It is small. It has feathers.
Lucy says, "Ooh, what's this?"
"It is a bird!" she says. The bird sings a little song. Lucy listens. The song is nice.
Lucy sits under the tree. She holds her ball. The sun is warm. She feels happy.
After some time, Lucy stands up. She walks back up the hill. She carries her ball all the way home.
At the door, Lucy stops. She looks back at the hill, the tree, and the grass.
"Today was fun," she says. "I found my ball. I saw a rabbit. I heard a bird sing."
See you next time, Lucy!
